ATC entered the AGL Training sector in 2015 and became the market disruptor by exceptionally raising the level in what was an established closed sector. ATC saw the market opportunity and offered clients:

In 2019 ATC was acquired by TM3 Airports bringing with it further investment in people and services. By 2020 ATC had training centres in Manchester, Bangkok and Hanoi and became the leading international airfield lighting training provider, an achievement recognised in the 2020, 2021 Aviation & Aerospace Awards for ‘Best AGL Training Specialists’ hosted by CV magazine.

Our training managers are chartered electrical and electronics engineers and experts in AGL system design, airside maintenance, installation, international compliance standards and A-SMGCS.

Our training managers have worked at senior level positions at international airfield lighting installation contractors, AGL manufacturing companies, airfield lighting control system consultants.

AGL TRAINING COURSES

This is an introductory level course for new airfield engineers and airside maintenance contractors working on airfield ground lighting systems. This training includes a general introduction to AGL systems, safe isolation of CCR’s, Series Primary Circuits, Transformers and Jointing, and Airside Situational Awareness.

This is an intermediate level training course for airport engineering teams, airside AGL maintenance contractors, and AGL installation teams. This training includes Approach Lighting, Runway Lighting, Taxiway Lighting, CCR’s, Circuit Selectors, Primary Circuit Maintenance, AGL System Layouts, Photometric Testing, Maintenance Tools, AGL Testing Equipment, AGL Electrical Safety & Airside Situational Awareness.

This is an advanced level AGL Design Training Programme for senior airfield and airside electrical engineers, airfield lighting contractors and airside tier 1 and 2 engineering consultants. The course includes how to design airfield lighting systems from substation to light unit for CATI, CATII, CATIII airports and ICAO / Regional CAA compliance submissions. This course is generally delivered from one of our residential training centres in Manchester, Bangkok, or Hanoi.

This is an intermediate level airside training programme for airside operations teams, airside engineering teams, and ground traffic management. This airfield operations and safety training course delivers to personnel how airfield systems and operations that integrate with airfield ground lighting systems. Additional modules include ILCMS, Navaids, Ground Movement Operations, and new technologies and Safety Management Systems.
